Step 1 – we strip off the felt/fibreglass/rubber or whatever protective layer is being used on your roof, we then remove the wooden deck underneath if necessary
Step 2 – when we have stripped down to the roof rafters we remove any nails and imperfections and begin re boarding with an 18mm thick wooden board
Step 3 – after we have a wooden deck secured down we will build a timber frame around the perimeter of the new roof and then lay 100-150mm celotex insulation boards inside
Step 4 – another layer of wooden board is now laid ontop, we use extra long screws through this board to catch the roof rafters underneath
Step 5 – once the final deck has been cut up and fixed we are ready to start applying the adhesives in preparation for the rubber sheet to be laid out and bonded. we glue both the deck and the rubber and slowly brush the rubber onto the fresh board keeping out all air bubbles. small Bubbles may occur sometimes but will find their way out eventually
Step 6 – now its just the finishing touches such as trims, cutting back excess rubber, and giving the new roof a swill down.
